September 2008 - Priest Lake
The season ending event of the Priest Lake Yacht Club got lucky with the weather as some300 attendees were served the traditional German Sausages or hot dogs or both.
The club "store" had a great run on t-shirts and souvenir goodies. Outgoing Commodore, Pecky Cox and Vice-Commodore Traci Szybnski want to thank all of their volunteer staff who did such a great job in keeping the party operating so smoothly.
Our store and admissions manager, Jennifer Price, and her team of Lori Moloney and Tammy Walker kept the flow moving. Shyla Cox did the honors with the hand stamping.
The Grill Masters, Frank O'Neill and Kim Impecoven again did a yeoman job with the "eats". Jim Brown. the long time kitchen assistant, Barb O'Neill and Margie Impecoven organized the food services so everyone was served smoothly. The Hill's Resort lawn and beach hosted the occasion and catered the always outstanding buffet. We cannot thank Craig and Missy Hill enough, for providing the location and
support of the PLYC annual function. The 5-Star setting was perfect as usual.
Of course, the most popular little tent in the entire extravaganza was the Gin Fizz canopy. Bob Faulkner, Kammy Cox and Karla Cox manned the fizz blenders and the beer bar, serving thirsty club members.
Just before the clouds and winds kicked up Commodore Cox announced her selection of the 2008-2009 successor Commodore and it was Bob Faulkner, long time PLYC club member as well as the nomination of Jake Hill as First Mate. Tracie Szybnski announced her successor Vice-Commodore and she chose Mme.Chantelle Sackett.
The new club royalty took their traditional dunking in the lake and were duly baptized to carry out their onerous duties as party planners for the next year. Click on images for larger view.
Due to a sound system malfunction there were not given the oath of office, but will still be held accountable. ( if we had an accountant!)
